Craig and Jenny held their wonderful, family-friendly country wedding in the beautiful surroundings of Meynell Langley in July 2022.
It was important to the couple that their big day was stress-free with a relaxed atmosphere for both themselves and their guests. And, of course, with this beautiful country setting made possible by choosing a marquee wedding, they were able to have stunning photos taken to treasure forever.
We were so delighted to help them turn their ideas into reality. We provided wedding consultation services - meeting with them 6 months before and again in the lead-up to ensure that they had the day of their dreams. We also provided wedding coordination on the day; setting up the garden games, liaising with the suppliers, and welcoming the guests.
Meynell Langley Hall is offered on a venue hire only basis. This gave Craig and Jenny the freedom to select wedding suppliers and services which appealed to their preferences and values.
They were motivated to choose us because of the way that we see lives changed through employment with us.
If sustainability is important to you, then there is no better location than Meynell Langley with its focus on biodiversity and nature conservation.
The manor house was open to guests during the drinks reception, with a saxophonist providing a fabulous contrast to the old-world elegance to kick-off the celebrations.
Guests were encouraged to take in the country views and wander in the gardens.
However, having the main event in the marquee allowed us to open the marquee walls so that the guests could enjoy the scenic surroundings and gorgeous summer weather to their fullest extent during the meal and speeches in the marquee.
The day was full of lovely personal touches to make the wedding enjoyable for all ages.
Ethical ice cream was provided after the wedding ceremony at a local church in Derby.
There was a table of activities for children set up in the lounge area in the pagoda, as well as children’s party bags on the reception tables.
Garden games were organised before the meal, and a shady seating area was provided outside for elderly relatives.
Of course, our gorgeous dance floor got plenty of action with a DJ queuing up some classic tunes, and everyone could dance their hearts out until the sparkler send-off late that night.
Jenny and Craig wanted to make the most of their special day and maximise their time celebrating with their guests.
By choosing a marquee wedding, the set-up, decoration and preparation could happen on the day before their wedding day and the removal the day after.
This allowed them to have the whole day focused on their wedding without the time and space constraints generally imposed by traditional venues.
And they certainly made the most of this extra time with a main three course meal in the afternoon and an evening buffet during the dancing.
We also provided a catering tent (a pagoda) for the preparation of the excellent food by the caterers who specialise in outside catering.
The feedback from the couple afterwards was fantastic and a great motivation to our team to keep up the good work (along with the ice creams provided by the bride-to-be on the sweltering day that we set up the marquee!)
“Roger and the team at Jubilee were fantastic throughout. From planning through to making our day so special with a beautiful marquee and running the event on the day. Highly highly recommended."
We love to help dreams come true for our clients and our employees, so please do contact us to discuss your ideas for a country wedding.
